About the author
Warren Flynn
Warren is an accountant turned author who writes fiction about the quiet weight of secrets and the violence we do in the name of love, justice, or survival. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, he shares his home with four feline freeloaders and a stack of notebooks full of half-truths and character sketches.
A long time reader of psychology and human behavior, Warren is drawn to characters who live in the gray—men who kill for what they believe is right, women who see too much and trust too little. In Getting Close, his debut noir thriller, he explores themes of emotional repression, moral ambiguity, and the cost of getting close to someone when your past has blood on it.
He started writing as a way to understand people—why we stay silent, why we push people away, and what it really takes to change. He still doesn’t have all the answers, but the stories keep him asking better questions.
If you enjoy psychological thrillers with heart, edge, and a few claw marks, Warren invites you to follow his work, reach out, and stay a while. Just don’t expect the cat to move.
